Quaife limited slip differential

The Quaife ATB limited slip differential (LSD) is now available and in stock exclusively at Birds for all F30 3 series and F32 4 series variants.

The Quaife LSD is a unique device that mechanically senses traction loss and distributes torque to the wheel with most grip accordingly. The result is a transformation of the car’s overall performance - increasing acceleration speeds, cornering speeds, and improving the general handling, grip, and dynamics of the car.

Diff in, needs to be on a four post ramp so we had to find one, only took an hour to swap out after that. Drive shafts will not come out without car on the deck.

What a great change it makes to the car, if anyone is in doubt about getting one tell them to phone me!

My diff will be with you on Friday, oil drained, 900 miles on the clock.

I've put 700kms on the diff now, and it's performing brilliantly! The increase in traction on slippery surfaces is fenomenal, far greater than I expected. With the exception of one squished belleville washer Arctic Trucks did a fine job installing it, so if you get any other customers from the Oslo region you could always recommend Arctic Trucks as an installer :)

It’s just ... great!

Initially when you first drive off the changes seem very subtle but within 20 minutes or so…. and some familiar stretches of road it really hits you how different things are …..When pushing on, the car now just inspires confidence ....the steering seems much more responsive especially when quick inputs are required.
